Partnering Champion
10/15/96 ---Joe Browne, retiring Director, California Department of Transportation District #4, was
presented the first Partnering Champion Award by the
International Partnering Institute. The Institute was founded as an organization dedicated
to spreading the concepts of partnering worldwide. |

| The Institute acknowledges those who make outstanding
contributions to partnering by annually awarding the prestigious Partnering Champion
Award. Joe Browne was selected from dozens of candidates for this award because of his
on-going commitment and enthusiasm for the principles of partnering. Under Joe's
leadership and championing, partnering became a policy within District #4. For More
